The Huskies boys basketball team was back in action on Friday night as they hosted the Knights of St. Paul Harding. The Huskies were looking to bounce back from a tough loss on the road Tuesday night against Henry Sibley.
The first half was about as even as they come and both teams answered each other basket for basket and turnover for turnover. The Knights held a 26-23 lead as the half wound down but Tait Nelson was fouled going up for a three point shot at the buzzer, made all three free throws, and pulled his team into a tie at the break.
The second half was as even and back and forth as the first half. The score was tied 55-55 when the Knights took advantage of a series of Huskies turnovers to pull ahead by four. The Huskies were forced to foul and Harding made their free throws in route to a 63-57 road win.
The boys were led by Tait Nelson and Mickey Jah who each scored 17 points. Sully Jahnke was not far behind with 16. The boys look to snap their two game losing skid as they travel to Bloomington Kennedy on Monday night to take on the Eagles.
