South Saint Paul High School
St Anthony Village High School
Today was the last dual match of the year for the varsity team they took on the South St. Paul Packers. It was a dry afternoon and we even saw a few peeks at the sun during the course of the round. The wind was stronger than normal but once the players were on the greens the balls were rolling true today at Gross National Golf Course. The guys played the back nine today.
The scores you see are deceiving, but true. The players played today’s match as a two man scramble, with the two best totals going towards the team final scores. Team Flett/Neis finished with a one over, 37, team Lillestol/Reiff finished with a one over, 37, and team Dahlberg/Anderson also played today. The picture above is with all of the players from both schools and these guys will see each other next Friday at the Section 4AA playoffs. Everyone seemed to get along well and it was a fun for the players to play in a different format. Hopefully they made a playing buddy that they will get paired up with next Friday.
The varsity team will have their next round on Monday when they complete the second half of the Tri-Metro conference tournament. The Huskies currently sit in third place behind DeLaSalle and Holy Angels with Concordia – Roseville right on their heels.
