DeLaSalle High School
St Anthony Village High School
The rain had been strong during the early portion of this week including yesterday when it rained for 10+ hours. The ground needed it though because Gross National Golf Course soaked it all up like a sponge with only small amounts of standing water visible in sand traps. The sun peaked out from the mostly cloudy sky a couple of times today and the wind was light. Gross is really starting to get green, it feels like spring is here!
The Huskies fell to the Islanders this afternoon with the match medalist from DeLaSalle, Liam Sullivan, leading the way with a 43. The Huskies carded scores included Ben Neis and Jack Lillestol shooting a 46, and Joe Flett and Erik Reiff shooting a 49. The Huskies will continue with Tri-Metro Conference play next Monday when they travel to Majestic Oaks Golf Course to play the Fridley Tigers.
Pictured above is Erik Reiff teeing off on hole three. It was a tough tee box from the right this afternoon. Reiff rolled back in to the trap and got up and down for a nice par on this hole. There were not many pars on three today.
