Meet Recap

Saint Anthony Village won the second annual Huskies Invitational today, turning in incredible performances against both Park Center and Spring Lake Park. With family and friends watching, the girls played their absolute best tennis of the year. Junior Jaime Darling had a strong win to begin against Park Center. Senior Captain Lydia White also outlasted a tough opponent as Saint Anthony held on for a 5-2 victory. Against Spring Lake Park, a team that beat the huskies a year ago, Saint Anthony won a resounding 7-0 victory. Captain Mikayla Dulz and Julia Lease at first doubles, junior Emma Fagerlee and senior Kayli Oja at second, and sophomore Elena Schenkenberg with eighth grader Makenzie Weber at third doubles all won 3rd set tiebreakers in dramatic fashion. The girls were thrilled to see their hard work pay off with a plaque at the end of a long day. They look forward to challenging set of conference matches next week.
